So today, let me introduce 1 of my good friend, from the family of alcohol. WINE :D I love drinking :D thats y i would like to blog about some alcohol, and if drink the right amount, wont get drunk and still able to taste the wonders of alcohol. Today i shall start off with wines one of the reason is because wine pairs very well with cheese, and previously i have been blogging about about cheese food. YEA WINE AND CHEESE!!! its really dam nice, it brings out the best of both, bringing out better taste in wine and making the cheese smoother also. Most wine parties have cheese as their main snack :D i dont know if theres cheese party, but if there is, then wine would be the best drinks to go along :D
So we all know that wine come from fermented grape and maybe those long long stories about wine. Im not a wine expert so i wont be telling those facts of wine here. I shall jump straight to my intro on 2 types of wine. These 2 type of wine are sweet wine, why do i intro sweet wine? Its because i like sweet wine, and i think most people my age would prefer sweet wine than those tannin taste of classic red wines. We youngsters are brought up in the sweet age, where we had candy and chocolate everytime, we grow up eating sweet stuff , so we end up having sweet tooth, we might not have really sweet tooth but most of us would like sweet stuff. So this 2 wine i am going to intro are suitable for beginners to start drinking with and getting use to the taste of wine. Plus they are also easily available at cold storage and other supermarket :D less then 20 bucks per bottle.
Starting with the 1st guy here, its a moscato :D moscato are sweet desert wine that gives off a really sweet and grape taste. It is 1 of the more famous sweet wine that singaporeans love. The brand i get is brown brothers but actually the brand dosent matter, what matter most in wine is its type, choose a type you like 1st then go for a brand of the type you like. And there are so many so many types of wine. It is also quite cheap, 19.90 per bottle at cold storage. So quite worth the price for something nice and sweet. And do remember, get moscato, not dry moscato or moacato d'asti, i mean get moscato 1st, then try moscato d'asti then try dry moscato, they are all different types, so dont go wrong. They are all nice, sweet and worth the try. Get moscato 1st :D
Next is this guy, its not really a red wine, not really a white wine, not really a sparkling wine(champagne kind) But it does look in between red and white (pink) and had some sparkling(depends also) Its white zinfandel!!! its sweet, but not as sweet as moscato, but its a sweet wine too. And its main characteristic is that its pink in colour, when you go to the supermarket and sees a pink colour wine, it has to be rose or zinfandel or white zinfandel :D The brand i got is Arbor mist white zinfandel, not bad with a melon taste :D Had a little sparkle taste and its quite refreshing to drink. This bottle cost 16.90 at cold storage :D not that expansive and we can get good wine.
The 2 wines above i intro are all of low alcohol level, ranging from 5.5% to 6.5% so its light and good, not easy to get drunk. Dont worry, i wont kill you :D we are just starting as beginners only :DDD
Chill it in the fridge, these are wine that need to be serve cold, but not that cold till put ice :D
